Environmental Visions

Good Morning!
Please get ONLY your assigned netbook when you arrive.

 *NOTE: Cell phones are to be put entirely away when you enter this classroom until you leave this classroom.  At no time should they be out once you are present in THIS class.  This includes plugging them into an electrical outlet.

*NOTE: Please bring your independent reading book each day. I am expecting to see it with you, and I will be asking you.  Be sure to select from the recommended list if you have not done so yet this semester.  ESPECIALLY, have your book during testing so you have it to read if you finish the test early.

*TODAY:  Today you will begin locating an article on an environmental issue.  You already have recorded information in your English Journal on an article.  Today, I am giving you an assignment that will take us to the end of the year.  We begin today. (HANDOUT).  At the end of the semester, you will be turning in all ten article summaries and responses.  I will be giving you sheets as we go along. It would be a good idea to create a NEW document in your Google docs for recording URL's of an article that you want to come back to and for other notes that you might want to take.

HOMEWORK:  Independent Reading.  Bring your book to class!
