Transformational Thinking Essay

Get your netbooks when you arrive to class

1.  Independent Reading -- Begin at the bell for credit.  Be sure to work on writing your two book reviews over the weekend.  Posted reviews (link shared with me) are due no later than March 8th.  Please follow the rubric for your book reviews.

2.  The Great Gatsby -- Starting MONDAY you will check out this novel from the library.  Reading this novel will be our work for the second six weeks.

3.  EXPERT PROJECT -- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week we will be working on our expert project.


4.  Transformational Thinking Essay -- Final draft is due today.  Please include a title for your essay. Also be sure to include your name, my name, period, and date in the upper left  corner of your essay.  Make sure that your essay is also double-spaced. 

5.  Please click on the following link and review the EAP scoring rubric.  This rubric will be used to score your essay.  After reviewing the rubric, decide what score you believe your essay has earned.  PLACE that score after the last paragraph of your essay.  Write a reflection on your essay which explains why you feel your essay has earned the score that you selected.   This should be a well developed paragraph that follows your essay.
